Stories of Pattu
Kanjivaram saree weaving

Since generations

Our Heritage

Who we are

Woven with love, worn with pride

Stories of Pattu was born from a deep, abiding love for the art of handloom weaving. What began as a quiet passion in a small weaving village near Kanchipuram has grown into a mission — to carry the legacy of pure Kanjivaram silk into every home across India and beyond. Our founders grew up surrounded by the rhythmic clatter of looms, watching master weavers transform raw silk threads into magnificent cloth, each saree a testament to skill passed down through four generations.

Every saree in our collection is crafted by artisan families who have devoted their lives to this ancient craft. We work directly with weavers in Kanchipuram and surrounding villages, ensuring fair wages, no middlemen, and complete transparency from loom to your doorstep. The mulberry silk is hand-dyed using traditional methods; the zari borders are genuine gold and silver thread woven on pit-looms that have been in the same families for decades. When you wear a Stories of Pattu saree, you wear a piece of living history.

We believe that true luxury is not mass-produced. Each of our sarees takes between 15 and 45 days to complete — some of our bridal silks require over 200 hours of painstaking work. Our promise to you is simple: every saree leaves our hands only when the weavers themselves are proud of it. Because at Stories of Pattu, we are not just selling cloth. We are sharing the stories of the hands that made it.
